Travel. Shared Meals. Conversations that remind us that there's a deep connectedness between all human beings, regardless of their coordinates on the globe. These three gifts... They have mused my art, edified my conscience, and brought me again and again back to the page. They tell me that I'm called to be a living bridge--that I'm built to carry stories from some kinetically-energized ether of experience into the tangible world. This calling never ceases to be mind-blowing, and sometimes I look at what I do and say, "This is ridiculous!" But the truth is, I'm happy to answer this call. Extremely humbled. But happy.
